Projective Techniques
Inspiring the Journey Towards Self-Discovery
Projective techniques are creative tasks that allow people to project their subjective or true opinions and beliefs onto other people, objects, stories, art, or pictures. They enable you to access unconscious thoughts and feelings to be able to discuss them in a therapeutic way. Counselors do not use standardized projective assessments like the Rorschach Inkblot Test or Thematic Apperception Test but may use projective techniques for therapeutic insight and treatment.
