Mindfulness/Meditation

I began writing this to treat chronic pain.  When I got into private practice, I discovered that these treatments are recommended for panic, anxiety, stress, etc. 

This is an ancient meditation practice.

Choose one phrase from the 1st and 2nd columns and one pair from the 3rd and 4th columns and say this phrase to yourself as you breathe. Breathe in,  imagining your lungs are cups and you are filling them from the bottom, all the way to the top.  As you breathe out, empty your lungs completely.

I will have the client rate their symptoms before and after, then do the entire script with them in session.  I will have the client talk about the most effective methods for them.  They can practice those at home.
