 Counseling Resources Toolbox

Counseling tools to add to your toolbox

History of My Toolbox

I have been a licensed counselor since 2008 but started volunteering in agencies doing lay counseling in 1996.  In all those years, I have acquired many tools for my counseling toolbox.  I frequently search out new tools to treat a specific client but then end up using it for a completely different client/situation.  It's never a waste.  I simply add it to my toolbox to use somewhere else down the line.  This is a culmination of those tools I have found most helpful over the years.  You can find out more about me on my CV, Dr. Sherry Rosenblad.

My Tools

These resources are divided by topic.  Each topic page will contain several resources to give more information or tools to use in treatment of that issue.  Here is a sample:

Abuse

Physical and Sexual Abuse are very complex and create a tangled web.

Addictions

With Addictions, clients can feel trapped in an endless cycle of behaviors out of their control.

Anger

Anger Management has many facets to it.  Helping clients with anger can be difficult.

Anxiety

Anxiety is so prevalent in our world today.  It is a major component of many clients.

“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.”

Washington Irving
