SOLACE Types

You are a whole person and you are comprised of many parts. You will not always act according to one personality type or another. Your individual graphs show approximately how much of the time you respond according to each particular personality type. 

 

The HIGHEST score is your predominant type.

Any score above 0 is significant to your behavior.

 

Scores below 0 will not typically have a significant bearing on your behavior. 

The higher the score above 0, the greater amount of time you behave according to that type.

STABILITY
"Things are fine the way they are"


     Those who are predominantly the Stability type want their world to stay as it is.  They are persistent, idealistic, and dependable.  They are faithful, conservative, and value traditions.  They do not like to take risks, avoid conflict, and can have unrealistic expectations of others.  They can be critical and suspicious.  Those with this type are most effective when they have time to plan thoroughly and are given exact job descriptions.  They need consistency and understanding.  They feel secure when they have time to prepare.  When stressed, they tend to work.  They are irritated by ignorant people and unpredictability.  Those with the Stability type need others who can make quick decisions, compromise, and are flexible.  They need to remember that they are accepted, to not hold grudges, and to not focus on negatives.  

OPTIMISM
"Don't worry, be happy"

       

     Those who are predominantly the Optimism type prefer to be happy or content instead of worried. They are easy-going, patient, and balanced.  They are peaceful and agreeable.  However, those with this type can also be unenthusiastic, avoid responsibility, and undisciplined.  They can also be sarcastic and teasing.  People with the Optimism personality type try to look on the bright side of things and they expect problems to work out all right in the end. They do not take things too seriously and do not like it when others are overly emotional. People with the Optimism type are able to stay calm in challenging situations and do not let things bother them much.  They need to be valued as a person.  They feel secure when things are peaceful.  When stressed, they tend to sleep.  To be effective they need validation and clear guidelines.  They are irritated by those who are pushy and aggressive.  Those with this type need others who can multitask and who will delegate responsibilities.

LEADERSHIP
"This is what we are going to do"

       

     Those who are predominantly the Leadership type are confident, determined, competitive, independent, and tenacious. They are persistent visionaries who are exceptionally productive and full of energy because of their decisiveness and drive for action. Their relationships are often dynamic, direct, and constantly stimulating. This personality has little tolerance for inefficiency and wasted time. As people who strive for the bigger and better in life, they are quick to take initiative and lead a group toward success.  People with the Leadership personality type are influential in taking charge of situations, and they want things done a certain way. They work hard and want others to notice, appreciate, and admire what they do. They expect their work to be perfect, and they want their work to be better than others, even if they are the only one who notices. Those with the Leadership type like having authority and power.

ACHIEVEMENT
"I am working"


    People with the Achievement personality are analytical, hardworking, and dependable problem-solvers. They have an incredible work ethic, ability to plan far into the future, and are extremely loyal to both the people and the work that they love. They find security in planning and preparation, while sudden changes or uncertainty make them feel uncomfortable. Achievement personalities are idealistic yet practical realists who can often accomplish any tasks that they put their minds to. People with this personality type are frequently working on something.  People with the Achievement personality type do not have trouble prioritizing what is most important for them to do first. They are self-motivated and detail oriented. People with this type are able to get things done without wasting time. They are consistent and dependable. When something needs to be done, people with the Achievement type take the initiative to do it. They are organized and in control. However, they do not take much time to rest or relax.

COMPASSION
"How can I help you?"


    People with the Compassion personality type are good listeners and work well with others. They work to find solutions to problems and try to help others resolve their differences. They are thoughtful of others and get their self-worth from making a difference. People with this type are loyal and polite, and they can be apologetic. They are also generous and can see the good with the bad in situations. The Compassion person will generally put others and their problems in front of their own, which can lead to neglecting their own needs. They are irritated by people that will not get help with their issues or are not willing to change in order to better themselves. They fear hurting others. They want only to be uplifting. Things that can cause them stress are lack of positive feedback, others not responding to help, being overextended, and giving themselves no time to rest. When working with this type it is important to remind them that they don’t have to fix every problem, not to forget to focus on loved ones, and to take care of themselves.

EXTROVERSION
"Let's talk about it"

 

    People with the Extroversion personality type are very open and honest about their emotions. They like to know many people and spend time with them. They can be impulsive and use their heart more than their head to make decisions. People with this type are truly extroverts and have more energy after spending time with others. They are very communicative do not enjoy being alone. These people need to be receiving attention and affection from others to be happy. The Extroversion type thrives off interactions with others where they are the center of attention. . They need to work on prioritizing things. They must also work on staying focused on tasks, being organized, and following through with things. Those with this type want to be recognized for who they are. This type also desires being free from details, they like for things to be easy and not constrained by specifics. This type is irritated by being alone and fears rejection. It is important for them to remember to not conform to social pressure and to have self-control. They also need to remember to not talk all the time and to listen to others.
